Description
An off site affiliate, based in Durham, North Carolina. The company is
developing tools for health monitoring and analysis and early detection of
illness in cooperation with the Duke Cancer Care research program at Duke
University. The initial joint effort is the development of an intelligence
based ontological discovery and dissemination (IBODD) network. The IBODD
system will be event driven, combining data generated by the activities of
individuals under medical observation, essentially in real time, with all of
the relevant personal information, e.g., medical history, and all of the
"relevant" data from clinical studies, statistical studies, and basic
medical research. As the name of the network implies, IBODD is focused on
cancer. Heart disease is next. The University of North Carolina and
Vanderbilt University are expected to join the development team. |
