Description
The New Zealand Foundation for Research, Science and
Technology (“FRSTâ€) invests in research, science and technology on
behalf of the New Zealand government with the aim to stimulate
prosperity and improve the well-being of New Zealanders and the
environment through investing in innovation and fostering the creation
of new knowledge. The FRST is a Crown entity governed by a Board
appointed by the Minister of Research, Science and Technology of New
Zealand. It employs 100 staff, including contractors, in their head
office in Wellington and at regional offices in Auckland, Christchurch,
Tauranga and Blenheim. FRST has six operational groups: Investments
Group; Investment Strategy Group; Communications and Marketing Group;
Science, Governance and Reporting Group; Corporate Development Group and
a Policy Group
