At GIRVAN, our primary mission is to enable the development of exciting new products based on cutting edge technologies by supporting the inventor and/or champion of the idea and all the organizations and people that can contribute to the execution of the same.

The GIRVAN Business Venture Acceleration Network (B-VAN) is a physical and virtual small business accelerator, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. The B-VAN provides support services and business assistance to start-up companies. This program uses a "technology pull" approach, leveraging the technological output of the nations research labs and the innovative ideas from Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and pairs them with appropriate markets in Fortune 1000 companies and Federal Agencies like NASA, DoD, DoE etc.

The accelerator helps private enterprises "source innovation" from GIRVAN's technology partners and then provides access to a "know-how" network of business experts in marketing, sales, high tech management and operations, financing and patent and corporate law. The B-VAN also offers low cost office space and access to equipment, labs and other special purpose facilities. B-VAN companies are provided support in business planning, market development, intellectual property protection, patent filings and a host of other start-up services.
